Title:                     Horticulturist

Job Summary:

Cobblestone Creek Country Club is a private country club located 20 miles southeast of Rochester NY. The course was designed by Michael Hurdzan with construction completed in 1991.  At the beginning of 2020 the club was purchased by the membership.  The new ownership group is committed to improving the entire property through continued investment. Improvements include new equipment, installation of a new irrigation pump station, major tree work and upgrades to the cart paths. The Club has also made significant investment in the clubhouse.  The Club will continue to make improvements to the entire property during 2023 and will be starting a full Bunker Restoration in the Spring.

Cobblestone Creek Country Club is looking for a qualified individual to fill the Horticulturist position.  This individual will work closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in the daily maintenance of the grounds. 

Responsibilities:

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• ·        Select, propagate, and grow plant material for ornamental use on and around the golf course and grounds
• ·        Develop and implement landscape designs
• ·        Chemical and Pesticide applications
• ·        Assist in water management
• ·        Small Crew management for the routine maintenance of ornamental plantings throughout the property
• ·        Participate in renovation projects
• ·        Assist with snow removal
• ·        Assist with equipment maintenance

Education Requirements:

                              2-year Horticulture or related Degree/Certificate preferred

Experience Required:

                              1 to 2 years Horticultural experience a must

Work Schedule:

                              Monday thru Friday plus weekends/ holidays
