Kanon Valley is an 18-hole semi-private golf course located on the border of Oneida and Canastota in the Mohawk Valley. Kanon Valley, like many other courses, is experiencing a growth in membership along with increased public play making this an exciting time to join our team and propel the course forward with more resources available. We are looking for a motivated individual that is willing to take a hands-on approach when it comes to every facet of golf course maintenance. Kanon Valley’s members will treat you like family and volunteer their services whenever needed.

Responsibilities will include:

• -        All aspects of course maintenance including mechanical duties
• -        Pesticide applications and record keeping to remain compliant
• -        Rainbird Stratus II irrigation repair and maintenance
• -        Staff hiring, training, and supervision
• -        Ability to take on projects such as tee and bunker renovation
• -        Maintain a safe working environment
• -        Work with a green committee and board of directors

Educational/Experience requirements:

• -        2-year degree in turf related field preferred
• -        Minimum 3 years of experience in golf course maintenance
• -        NY State pesticide license

Compensation:

• -        45,000 – 50,000 dollars
• -        Local and National GCSAA dues
• -        All costs associated with pesticide license renewal
• -        Golf and Meal Privileges
• -        Vacation and health care compensation negotiable 
• -        This position can be flexible regarding months worked per year
