Lakeside Country Club in Penn Yan NY is seeking an Assistant Superintendent.   Lakeside CC was founded in 1924, and was expanded and reconfigured in 1995.  A new maintenance building is being constructed in 2021. 

Requirements:  An Associates Degree or Certificate in turfgrass management or a related field is preferred.  However, candidates with a combination of education or experience will be carefully considered as well.  Possession of a NYSDEC Pesticide Applicators License or the ability to obtain one within 60 days is required.

Responsibilities will include, along with the Superintendent, all aspects of daily course maintenance  as well as supervising employees during daily activities  and projects; spraying, fertilizing, and irrigation work.   Several small in house projects are planned in the future.  Candidates should be hands on, career minded individuals who are interested in learning and gaining experience in advancing their careers and becoming a Golf Course Superintendent. 

Compensation:

• $16-18/hr depending on experience.
