Since its inception in 1923, Monroe Golf Club has long been regarded as one of the premier private clubs in Rochester and throughout Western New York. The club’s Donald Ross designed golf course is viewed by many as one of the most classic and preserved layouts from Mr. Ross’s original designs.  The club has hosted numerous championships over the past 95+ years including the 2014 Wegmans LPGA Championship, New York State Men’s Amateur, and the nationally recognized Monroe Invitational.

In addition to our regulation 18-hole course, Monroe offers a beautiful 4-hole, par-3 golf course for our Golf and Social members to enjoy. The Short Course was designed by world-renowned golf course architect, Gil Hanse in 2004.

We are currently engaged in a long-range golf course restoration plan, under the direction of golf course architect Tyler Rae.  The plan includes the restoration of greens, tee, fairways, and bunkers utilizing the original Ross blueprints preserved by the club.  A new, state of the art maintenance facility was constructed and completed in 2020.
