    About Yahnundasis

Yahnundasis Golf Club was founded in 1897.  We will be celebrating our 125th anniversary this year. In 1905, we began an annual match with neighboring Sadaquada Golf Club.  This so called the McLoughlin Cup is believed to be the oldest, continuous interclub competition in the United States.  We are also founding members of the League of the Iroquois, which began in 1913.  League of the Iroquois matches are reputed to be the oldest continuing, multilateral golf competition in the world. Yahnundasis was also the birthplace of the New York State Golf Association in 1923.

To this day, we continue to maintain an active golfing membership of approximately 300 players, with an additional 200 social members.  Yahnundasis offers weekly member league play and continues hosting State Amateur events, District events, and other high profile charity events.

The 18 hole par 71 golf course was designed by legend Walter Travis.  Playing surfaces are predominantly poa/bent grass.  The course is equipped with Toro irrigation heads with rainbird satellites and software.  The club has recently invested into Toro equipment fleet.  The club has also invested into the development of a new golf course master plan, to return to the original Walter Travis design.

The club’s rolling terrain spans 230 acres and includes scenic vistas, forested areas, creeks and ponds.  Other amenities include a grand 6000 sqft. clubhouse, pro shop, driving range, Olympic size swimming pool, and recently renovated tennis and pickle ball courts.
