    Club Description:

    The Country Club of Buffalo was established in downtown Buffalo in 1899. The current Donald Ross golf course, located in Williamsville, opened in 1926. The club recently completed a golf course renovation to restore Donald Ross’s original design. This renovation consisted of rebuilding 114 bunkers and restoring lost fairway and green perimeters. The golf course will undergo an irrigation system replacement in the spring of 2022. The club consists of an 18-hole golf course with full practice facilities, four tennis courts, two platform tennis courts, pool, and an established sporting clays program with quail, trap, skeet, five-stand, and brush walk fields.

    Job Description:

    The equipment manager works in conjunction with our grounds team to manage the day-to-day operations of the department’s inventory of tools and equipment.  The position involves all facets of equipment maintenance and shop management. The vast majority of all inventory has been replaced in the past six years and consists primarily of Toro mowers and Club Car utility vehicles. The equipment manager is responsible for maintaining an efficient and effective parts and repair budget, completing required repairs in a timely manner, and maintaining quality height and standard of cut on all mowing equipment.

    Requirements:

    • ·        Prior golf course experience is preferred but not required.
    • ·        Experience involving the routine maintenance and repairs of small engines, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, diagnostics, grinding bed knives & reels is required.
    • ·        Must be able to maintain; clean and organized work stations, detailed maintenance and repair records, equipment inventory, tool inventory, and parts inventory.
    • ·        Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
    • ·        Must have a thorough understanding of OSHA safety guidelines.
